When you want to sell a higher-end item on here, how do you usually go about selling it? Do you just put it in your shop? Or do you use trades? Or auctions? Or advertising in the forums with a post? How about making banners or advertising in your signature? What about wishlist-searching the item and contacting potential buyers one by one? I'm just wondering which method/s you guys have found works best. I have a few items I'd really like to sell, and I think my prices are fair, but I'm having trouble finding any interest.
I would say making a board gets the most attention, auctions i think get the least amount of looks

I usually try to make a big board full of stuff for sale, like wearables/potions/tokens/csc
So i attract a lot of people and hope that what i really need to sell somebody wants!
I just got the blackheart hollow TC today, first RS ever from there, and im sure im going to have a hard time selling that, at least yours is wearable!

As much as I hate the advertising forum, I would say that it is definitely the most efficient way to sell high end items. Trades are probably second best.
I wouldn't use wishlist search if I were you, as it's actually against the rules.
Do Not Send Advertisements
Do not send any unsolicited advertisements to another user via the mail system, comments, forum pings, etc. These include -- but may not necessarily be limited to -- advertisements for shops, cults, items available for sale/trade, and wishlisted items.
Advertising threads and trades are usually the best way. Generally high expense items like that are very hard to sell, and you'll probably have to give a hefty discount if you want it gone quickly.
Not really. If you have an item you want to give away, you can use it. Or you can see how many people want your item, which can help gauge a good price. If you have a 50 mil item that's only on two people's wishlists, it'll be a lot harder to sell than if it were on 200 people's wishlists.
It's useful for friends.
I'm lazy...just stick them in my shop and they'll sell eventually. Maybe if its something really special I'll make a board or something.
I actually sold my BHH trading card really fast, and I just threw it in my shop.
As for the topic, I hate selling stuff because I really dislike having the deal with people and horrible offers, so I usually just throw items in my shop or trades. Sure, it's hard to sell some things, but as you know, some things don't really have a high demand, no matter how low or fair you price it.

I throw everything in my shop at first, and then discount what's hard to sell in the Advertising forums (generally 30% off).
I really just sell by shop and even though people want to sell at the highest price, almost no one ever does. I try to put my stuff at a large discount. Make some money and get it gone.
